Our activities

We Follow the EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE curriculum providing a range of experiences in all of the 6 areas of learning:
  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication, Language and Literacy
  • Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World
  • Physical Development
  • Creative Development
The Pre-School has two large rooms containing a wide variety of age appropriate equipment and resources designed to stimulate all aspects of children’s development.

In the large room we have lots of space and a good range of large equipment including a climbing frame, balancing equipment and the ever popular ride on vehicles! We have room to develop physical skills, move to music, play with our parachute and enjoy using musical instruments

We like to bring the outdoors inside with natural objects. This year a great deal of learning has taken place around our tadpoles, frogs and snails. The children also enjoyed planting and growing a variety of seeds.

In our “Messy room” we have space for water and sand
play, painting and modelling and many other creative activities.

The Pre-School recently accessed some extra funding and purchased a new child friendly computer, printer and workstation.  We also bought some additional climbing and balancing equipment and a new bookcase and floor cushions for the quiet corner.
